Steve Margolis, President of Margolis Management and Realty, LLC, has been in the community association management business since 1988. With his father, Len Margolis, the original partner after whom the firm is named, the company currently provides planning and management services to approximately 22 communities located in the Greater New Haven and surrounding areas (including Hamden, North Haven, East Haven, Branford, Madison and Guilford) comprising 1,000 condominium units.
Steve holds an M.S. from Southern Connecticut State College and an MBA from the University of New Haven as well as a Connecticut Real Estate Broker’s License. He has written numerous professional articles for industry publications covering a variety of topics including managing the common interest community, running effective board meetings, the strategic importance of goal setting, and communicating with community home owners.
With a reputation as a hands-on manager with strong planning and consistent follow-up skills, Steve is able to identify and anticipate problems and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions to all areas that must be managed, from budgeting to capital planning to insurance, legal and maintenance requirements. The company also has a cadre of skilled contractors that can be readily deployed.
Mr. Margolis has also received his certification as a CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) from the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers. This a prestigious achievement in the field of homeowner association management.
